As an ILM accredited Centre OLT offers an ILM teamwork qualification—Level 2 Award in Effective Team Member Skills. The Award looks at team roles, what makes a team work well, and how to build relationships and deal with conflict in the team. The participants also identifies their own strengths and weaknesses to help them perform better in their roles.

 

How it works

How it works

WHO: For individuals who have just joined a new organisation or team. They are also suitable for those going for promotion to team leader.

LOCATION: At the OLT site or in the Brecon Beacons using a combination of outdoor and indoor tasks. 

DURATION: A week-long residential or a series of sessions spanning a number of weeks.

KEY BUSINESS CHALLENGES: We will work with you to identify the key challenges your business faces. As a result we will the activities are carefully chosen to ensure the skills that you learn are relevant to your specific training objectives.

Level 2 Award in Effective Team Members Skills

ILM qualifications are based on achieving a certain number of credits. For the Level 2 Award in Effective Team Member Skills there is one mandatory unit which carries the full number of credits required.

  • Credits required: 3
  • Unit: 8003-230—Developing yourself as an effective team member—3 credits
  • Number of guided learning hours: 9
  • Delivery methods: OLT will work with you to tailor the content of the unit you choose to your business objectives including supporting presentations, practical tasks, workshops and written reference material. The course comprises guided 9 learning hours which takes the form of tutorials and workshops in a classroom setting. This is coupled with practical sessions where theory gets put into practice. This allows for real-life opportunities for participants to draw upon in their final assessment. Throughout the course participants also reflect upon their learning in a workbook which is designed to help them prepare for the final assessment. 
  • Assessment: There is a final written assessment which is marked.
